From their mutual love for antiques, interior design and sales, Sandy Kupfer and Barbara Herring formed a partnership in 1995 to serve the people of Dallas with estate liquidation needs.
They met twenty years ago in gourmet cooking classes, while both were working for Neiman Marcus. Both wanted careers where they could be more in control of their working atmosphere, hours and income. They recognized a need in the estate sale industry to provide personalized attention to clients in order to achieve the best results.
It was then that Discovery ESTATE SALES was born.
"We are able to offer many specialized services. We have developed a team of experts in several fields that provide appraisals and help with private placement of heirlooms," says Ms. Kupfer, an accredited appraiser with the International Society of Appraisers. "We also provide inventories, display and price for sales."
"We want our clients to feel comfortable with us being in their homes," Ms. Herring says. "Only in getting to know a little bit about them can we understand the value of their collectives, furniture and other loved items. Many of our clients are making the transition from owning homes to living in retirement homes and assisted living homes. We believe that with our assistance this transition can be a positive one."
